Carrie Underwood’s tribute to Vegas victims & other noteworthy 2017 CMA moments
The 2017 Country Music Awards were held last night Nashville, Tennessee and Carrie Underwood‘s moving tribute to the victims of the Vegas shooting was the definite highlight. She broke down in tears while honouring the victims and needed to pause. Eric Church opened the show performing Amazing Grace, which was also very moving. The producers of this year’s awards reportedly wanted the show to be “part entertainment, part therapy.”

Garth Brooks, who won Entertainer of the Year 2017, was lip syncing his performance. He actually spoke out about it saying that he’s in the middle of 12 shows in 10 days and so his voice isn’t where it needed to be so he chose to lip sync. Some fans are pretty upset that the “entertainer of the year” lip synced his show…. Oh well.
Taylor Swift won Country Song of the Year for the song she wrote for Little Big Town, called Better Man, proving she can still dominate the country music charts too.
