President-Elect Trump Takes Aim at “Hamilton” and “Saturday Night Live”
Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d have to say: Would someone please take our president-elect’s Twitter account away and give it to an adult to manage? With everything else DONALD TRUMP has to worry about, he somehow found the time to lash out at both “Saturday Night Live” and the Broadway show “Hamilton”.
The “Hamilton” thing started Friday night when Vice President-elect MIKE PENCE took in a Friday night performance with his family . . . and got BOOED. Not by everyone, but it was definitely noticeable.
After the show, there was a special curtain call, where actor Brandon Dixon . . . the guy who plays Aaron Burr . . . had a special message for Pence. He thanked Pence for coming, then said, quote, “We hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of all of us, all of us.
“We truly thank you for sharing this show, this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds, and orientations.”
(There was a little more to it. Check out the whole thing here.)

Trump lost it, of course. He Tweeted, quote, “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!”
He also said, quote, “The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior.”

In what will probably become a running theme, Pence played the role of the grown up. He said he wasn’t offended by what the cast said, and even reassured people that Trump WILL be president to ALL Americans.
He also said that when people booed him at the show, he told his kids, quote, “That’s what freedom sounds like.”
The other thing Trump couldn’t get past was this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live”. ALEC BALDWIN returned for a new sketch, playing a Donald Trump who has no idea what to do now that he’s won the election.
The real Donald Tweeted, quote, “I watched parts of Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show – nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?”
But Baldwin fired back, saying, quote, “Equal time? Election is over. There is no more equal time. Now you try to be president and people respond. That’s pretty much it.”
And he added, quote, “You know what I would do if I were Prez? I’d be focused on how to improve the lives of AS MANY AMERICANS AS POSSIBLE.”
