Craig T Nelson set to return to TV as ‘Coach’

Craig T Nelson is set to return to TV in a revival of his sitcom “Coach” which originally aired from 1989 to 1997 on ABC. Nelson played the role of head coach ‘Hayden Fox’ for the fictional ‘Minnesota State University Screaming Eagles’.

The series was given a greenlight by NBC.

This time, it will be set 18 years after the original show ended and will feature Nelson as a now retired coach, asked to become an assistant to his grown son, the head coach at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania.

No premiere date for the sequel has been announced.
