FGL Taking Break But Still Working
Florida Georgia Line members Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard put music first in their lives, professionally speaking, but they still find the need for other creative outlets in their lives. Brian explains:
“Anything like The Boathouse, the whiskey, the FGL House, that all comes down to creating. We love creating songs, spaces for people to come enjoy architecture, enjoy the views, enjoy cool food. Food that has intention, whether it’s grass-fed burgers or just different takes on art all throughout. So we’re big on just making everything our own and creating places that people can party and create memories.”
While this has technically been an “off year” for Tyler and Brian, they’ve hardly been just sitting around. Brian and his wife recently opened the Tribe Kelly Surf Post in Grayton Beach, FL. The FGL Boathouse is under construction, also down in Florida. FGL has been working on new music for their next album, and they’ve already released three of those songs – “Simple,” “Colorado” and “Talk You Out of It.” Plus, they’ve been playing various festivals, writing songs for other people and preparing for the FGL Fest music festival, happening September 8th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
FGL popped up at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 12th to surprise Bebe Rexha who took home the award for Choice Country Song for their collaboration, “Meant To Be.”
