Sam Hunt will headline and curate the inaugural Nashional Music Festival, a two-day festival at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park on April 20th and 21st. The Nashional fest is a multi-genre lineup that includes artists from country, hip-hop, rock and R&B. The lineup features Brothers Osborne, LANCO, Fetty Wap, Judah & the Lion and Kyle, as well as local acts.

Sam will headline sets both nights of Nashional Music Festival, which will reflect his eclectic musical tastes. He told Rolling Stone,

“I wanted to create an experience at the Nashional that celebrates music, community, and everything they mean to each other and this city. The sense of community in Nashville helps give it the character and personality that makes me proud to be a part of it.”

Tickets for the Nashional Festival go on sale on Friday, February 9th.

In other Sam news, the singer is sporting a new look these days — he has shaved his beard. The singer joined Luke Bryan for a press conference about being part of Luke’s upcoming What Makes You Country XL Stadium tour earlier this week where he talked about getting his first straight razor shave.

“The past couple years when it gets cold I like to grow a little facial hair so I had that going on for a little while and there was this cool little barber shop — I was in a hotel and there was this cool little barber shop downstairs. He was giving those straight razor shaves and I’d never had one done so I got it all.”

Sam is heading into the studio next week to record the followup to his 2014 Montevallo album.
