Troy Genry’s Helicopter Crash Blamed on Mechanical Problems

Authorities are blaming mechanical problems for the helicopter crash that killed Montgomery Gentry’s Troy Gentry in Medford, NJ on Friday, September 8th. According to reports, the pilot started experiencing mechanical problems shortly before it crashed in a wooded area, killing both Gentry and the pilot.

Montgomery Gentry was scheduled to perform a concert at the Flying W Airport & Resort in Medford on Friday night. According to reports, Gentry opted to go for a “spur-of-the-moment” ride in the helicopter hours before the show.

A celebration of Gentry’s life will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 14th. The event is open to the public.
