Maren Morris Validated by ACM Nominations

The newly-crowned ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year, Maren Morris, is still looking to collect a few more trophies. The singer is also nominated for Album of the Year for Hero and Single of the Year for “My Church” at the ACM Awards.

“To have ‘My Church’ and my album Hero honored at the ACM nominations, I feel really validated because it’s my first real album to put out into the world and to have this much response and kindness thrown its way, it just makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing and I’m on the right path as an artist. You don’t do it for the awards but when you do get recognized and you get to go and be nominated for songs that you’ve written that came out of your own mind, it’s really validating. I’m excited to be nominated and have already been a winner for the first time. It’s gonna be a great night no matter what.”

The 52nd Annual ACM Awards airs live from Las Vegas on CBS beginning at 8 pm. Maren will join Thomas Rhett for the premiere of their brand new duet “Craving You” during the broadcast.

The @acmawards are gonna get a dash of souuuuul! Can't wait to play #CravingYou for the first time ever, @thomasrhettakins ! 👊🏼 📷: @shearerphoto
