Lady A Shares Album Details
Lady Antebellum has revealed the cover art and track listing behind their sixth studio album, Heart Break, which will be released on June 9th.
Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott co-wrote all but two of the 13 songs on the project. The trio rented a house in Florida, living and working under the same roof, and when the creative process proved successful, they set up a second retreat in southern California. Hillary said,
“When we started working on this record, the goal was to give ourselves some space from the day to day. Surrounding ourselves in a new environment with sunny beaches and warm weather really helped free our minds to focus solely on our art. We took some of our favorite writers and other writers we hadn’t worked with before to a new inspiring backdrop, where we were able to just write and soak up the journey. And it was on our first trip in Florida when we wrote ‘Heart Break’ that we felt it all click.”
“This record is really our story. They have a universal feel to them, but there’s a lot of our personal stories here.”

In other Lady A news, the trio will be in Las Vegas this weekend where they are nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Charles tells us that despite winning several of these, getting nominated never gets old.
“I mean you can’t take that for granted. There’s always going to be a new crop of groups and musicians that . . . and there should be. That’s what the music business is about. That’s what fans want. I mean, I always want something new. I’m always craving it, and so hopefully all this stuff kind of as groups and as artists helps motivate you to be creative and come up with something unique and different. So we never take it for granted because there will be a time when we won’t be in those categories and you know, so, you’re still in the game; you’re still playing on a pretty high level and so that means a lot.”
Lady A will perform their current Top 20 hit, “You Look Good,” at the ACM Awards which will air live on CBS on Sunday, April 2nd beginning at 8 pm.
