The debut single from Storyteller, “Smoke Break,” was co-written by Carrie. She says she and her co-writers wanted to create something that everyone could identify with.

“When we were writing ‘Smoke Break,’ myself, Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano, we wanted to make this song just super relatable so we picked characters and storylines that we thought people were experiencing in their own lives.”

Carrie’s music video for “Smoke Break” debuted earlier this week exclusively on Entertainent Tonight’s website. The clip was directed by Randee St. Nicholas, who also shot Carrie’s award-winning video for “Blown Away.”
