Garth Brooks Has Top Tour… So Far
Garth Brooks’ World Tour featuring Trisha Yearwood leads the list of Country tours at this mid-year point, grossing $79.9 million during his 74 shows in 13 cities so far. These impressive figures land him at Number Two on the overall all-genre list compiled by Pollstar. The Rolling Stones take the top spot on the Top 100 Tours list with a mid-year gross of $80.7 million.
Kenny Chesney ranked at Number Four on the list with $55.8 million, followed by Taylor Swift at Number Eight with $35.6 million, Luke Bryan at Number 12 with $25.9 million, Eric Church at Number 15 with $24.4 million, Shania Twain at Number 25 with $17 million, Miranda Lambert at Number 28 with 16 million, Florida Georgia Line at Number 30 with 14.9 million, Jason Aldean at Number 35 with 14.3 million, and Brad Paisley at Number 48 with 10.2 million.
Kenny Chesney’s Number Four ranking is thanks to the many stadium shows he’s been playing all summer long and continues through the end of August. The superstar says that he’s really enjoying his time on The Big Revival tour.
“This year’s tour has been awesome. It’s been very energetic. The passion that we feel out there and the energy that we’re feeling out there on stage, the energy that we’re giving the audience, but more important the energy that we’re getting back, is just so honest and real, and it’s because they genuinely love music and love that it’s a big part of their life, and that’s what making music to me is all about — and why I love the live experience and why The Big Revival tour has been so special so far.”
Garth Brooks resumes his tour on September 17th with seven shows at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.
