Brad Paisley Opens For The Rolling Stones Tonight
Brad Paisley played LP Field in Nashville as part of CMA Music Festival on Sunday, June 14th, and he returns tonight for what might be the most unforgettable performance of his career — opening for The Rolling Stones.
Brad says that his biggest obstacle is winning over those fans who didn’t exactly purchase the ticket to see him play.
“It’s a different experience. The hardest part about opening for somebody like The Rolling Stones is there are people that spent their entire lives crossing their fingers that that band was going to come through here or somewhere where they could see them in their lifetime before they don’t tour anymore, and they have to sit through 45 minutes of me before they get that chance (laughs). I’m aware of that so I’ll try my best to make them at least for the people that didn’t want to see it say, ‘Eh, that was pretty good,’ and for the people that thought it’d be pretty good I hope to prove them right.”
Brad will resume his headlining Crushin’ It World tour on Saturday, June 20th in Chicago.
The singer was honored with the International Artist Achievement Award by the Country Music Association before taking the stage at LP Field on Sunday. It was presented to him by Keith Urban.
