A Thousand Horses recently topped the charts with their debut single, “Smoke,” and they say the celebration was a smokin’ good time. A Thousand Horses lead singer Michael Hobb says their tourmate made sure they marked the occasion.

“We were out on tour with Darius Rucker. This summer we’re out with him on the Southern Style tour, and that’s where we heard, and as soon as Darius got wind that that was happening he was so excited for us, cause, you know, we’ve played with him several times in the past and been friends for a little while, so they got us a cake, we had candles, everybody did a shot, you know, cheers. We celebrated on the road with the whole road family and everybody, and, man, it was awesome. (Zach Brown) We’re still celebrating.”

A Thousand Horses’ brand new album, Southernality was released last week.
