Brad Paisley Wants To Win Over The Hipsters
Suffice it to say Brad Paisley is more than a little stoked to open for The Rolling Stones when they bring their Zip Code tour to Nashville on June 17th. Brad is in the midst of his own Crushin’ It headlining tour, but he will take the stage at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans, to warm up the crowd for the legendary rock group.
Brad jokes that one of his concerns is getting the non-country fans in the crowd of thousands to like him.
“Playing with them (Rolling Stones) is gonna be mind-blowing in every way, but it’s also where it’s a matter of thinking about, ‘Okay, what do I do in my set and how do I win over the hipsters from East Nashville before it’s over . . . the ones that are probably throwing a fit? (laughs) They’re like, ‘What? We gotta sit through that hick?’ No, I’m teasing. I’m joking. That’ll be fun to get up there and see how it works. It’s Nashville though. The challenge would be to do one of these in Europe. That’d be fun.”
Brad joined the Stones on stage during their show in Philadelphia for one song back in 2013.
