With 50 years in the Entertainment business, more than 70 albums, 29 top ten hits, you might think that sums up Glen Campbell, but there’s more.  He co-starred with John Wayne in, “True Grit”, and he sung the theme song.  He is credited with giving Alan Jackson his first big break, and he even filled in for Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys when that band was on tour.  The “Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour” was on TV from 1968 through 1972.

“By the Time I Get to Phoenix”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston” and “Gentle on my Mind” are all top hits for Campbell, and helped earn him an induction to the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Join me next Saturday, August 29 at 9:20, for a Glen Campbell feature!
