His list of accomplishments is long with 35 singles in the top 10 including 11 number ones. He is a member of The Country Music Hall of Fame, The Songwriters Hall of Fame, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and he did it all in record time. Hank Williams died at the age of 29, but his influence on country music is timeless. He battled constant back pain, prescription drug and alcohol addiction too. He never had any formal music lessons, and had difficulty reading music. Despite all of these setbacks, Hank Williams Senior is widely regarded as one of the most influential singers and songwriters of the 20th century.
