Multi Talented and Military

You recognize his face, and you know Kris Kristofferson’s music.  His career has taken him on many turns, including the rank of Captain in the US military, a helicopter pilot, singer, songwriter, actor, teacher, and the list goes on.  It is his role as songwriter that gives Kristofferson real depth as a performer.  Almost all the songs he sings are his own compositions.  “Help Me Make it Through the Night”, was written as he was sitting on an oil well, working as a helicopter pilot, “Me and Bobbie McGee”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, and many others were written while he worked other jobs. He was a member of, “The Highwaymen”, with Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.

Join me next Saturday, June 20, and you’ll hear some of his music, and more about his remarkable career!

Saturday mornings with Jeff Norgate…only on CKNX!
