Don’t be a “Hockey Puck”

Don Rickles turned to stand up comedy to make some money between acting jobs.  Many of the “joints” he worked in were rough.  The audiences would heckle him, and he would come back with insults of his own.  Soon, this became trademark humor for Don Rickles, and the “insult comic” was born.  Rickles has been making folks laugh for a long time, nearly 7 decades!  Don celebrated his 89th birthday earlier this month.  One of his earliest “insults” was to tell people not to be “a hockey puck”.  He’s had lots of fun with that line, and as he tells you in this clip, especially in Canada.  Don Rickles on Hockey Puck
