Working Man’s Country

He was taught his first chords by his Dad, who played in a local Country band in Kentucky.  John, and his older brother Eddie, both played in the family band where talents were honed and perfected.  Eddie went on to be half of Montgomery Gentry, and John became a solo artist, playing what he called, “Working Man’s Country”.

With ten studio albums to his credit, thirty singles, thirteen number one hits and two songs named Billboard’s Top Country Songs of 1994 and 1995,  John has made his mark on the Country Music scene.
