Down Home Country Feel

Published On September 8, 2018 | By Jeff Norgate | Blogs, Jeff Norgate

Paul has been singing Country Music since he was a child, and he grew up in a musical household.  His late father, Howard ‘Smoky’ Weber had a band, and Paul became a regular performer.

Paul spent nearly a decade on the road with Joe Firth,  giving Paul lasting experience and mentorship.

He formed his own band, and it included his brother Mike, on steel guitar.  Paul has released several albums and is heard on Country radio across Canada.

In 1997, he purchased the Commercial Tavern in Maryhill, Ontario.  The tavern has become a well known spot for live Country Music, friendly atmosphere and great food.

Join me next Saturday, September 15 at 9:20 for more with Paul Weber!

I wish CKNX would play more of his music. It seems we forget the great talent we have right in this area! Maryhill is a stone throw from Wingham. Great country music and good food, yet, there arent alot of people from here going down to listen and dance.
