He was just four years old when he made his first musical appearance in his Aunt’s Country music band.  There was lots of music in his home, since both his Mom and Dad played instruments and sang.

In his last two years in high school, Joe played football, baseball and golf and was recognized as Best All Round Male Athlete.

He started earning credits for med school at Cameron University, but he dropped out and worked in oil fields, and played music on the side.

In 1989, Joe co-wrote, “There Goes My Heart Again”, which was recorded by Holly Dunn.

He went on to place five singles on the top of the Country chart, and another dozen in the top ten.

Join me next Saturday, August 4, at 9:20, for more with Joe Diffie!
