His Dad was a singer and record collector, and Mark learned to love music, especially the traditional Country sounds of John Anderson, Don Gibson and Conway Twitty.

At just 17 years old, Mark dropped out of high school to play clubs around Southeast Texas.  He slowly built a fan base that loved his traditional Honky-Tonk style.
