They were called, “The Grizzly River Boys”, and started as an attraction at Opryland USA.  The name changed to, “The Tennessee River Boys” and since 1989, has had the same six members.

1991 saw the final name change to, “Diamond Rio”, and they signed with Arista Nashville.   Their debut single. “Meet in the Middle”, rose to number one and since then 32 singles have been released with four more at number one.
