Independent Male Artist of the Year

He has released five studio albums and one greatest hits LP. He scored number one in 1996 with, “Anita Got Married”.

Duane Steele grew up in a small town in Alberta, in a home full of music. His childhood memories include family and friends singing and playing various instruments.

Duane and his cousins formed a band and played local events.

In 1997, he won “Vocal Event of the Year” for his duet with Lisa Brokop for “Two Names on an Overpass”, and he won again in 2001, when the CCMA named him, “Independent Male Artist of the Year”.
