She grew up near Chatham Ontario, in a household full of music. Both her parents were local musical performers.
Michelle Wright was studying at college in the early 1980’s, and playing with a local band. She gave music her full time attention, and moved to Nashville in the early 1990’s. She opened for Kenny Rogers on his 1991 concert tour.
She won, “Female Artist of the Year”, twice from the Canadian Country Music Association and Single of the year for, “New Kind of Love”.
She has since charted more than twenty five singles including six number one Canadian hits.
