Songwriting Success

Eddie Rabbitt became a sought-after song writer before his voice was heard on the radio.  Elvis had a gold record with Rabbitt’s, “Kentucky Rain” in 1969, and Ronnie Milsap had a chart topper with, “Pure Love” in 1974.

Rabbitt went to the number one spot in 1976 with, “Drinkin’ My Baby Off My Mind”, and in 1977 the Academy of Country Music named him, “Top New Male Vocalist of the Year”.

He was known as a successful duet partner too, when, “You and I” reached number one. That one with Crystal Gayle.

Join me next Saturday, December 17 at 9:20 for more with Eddie Rabbitt.
